Grub Hill Episcopal Church is a historic church listed
on the Virginia Landmarks Register and the National Register of Historic Places. Consecrated
on June 4, 1852, on the site of the "old" Grub Hill Church (built around 1762),
Grub Hill is the oldest surviving church in Amelia County. In the cemetery you will
find gravestones that date as far back as the 1700's. Many Civil War veterans rest
there as do at least one son of the Revolutionary War. We hold services twice a year. Historical
tours of the church are given during Garden Week when we open to the public.
